[Advanced-java] i need your help in this pls

How do I programmatically highlight a specific region of text in a JTextField. 
For example if I had the following text in a JTextArea:
"This is a JTextArea"

and I want to programmatically highlight just the word "is", what function should i use and can you support me with an example.
