[Gimp-developer] [Gmip-developer] Editable Polygon

Hi,
I'm working on an interactive image cutout plug in.
After the first cutout the boundaries should be adjusted by the user. 
For this purpose an editable polygon roughly outlines the boundaries. 
The user then may modify the polygon by moving the vertices or by 
introducing new vertices. Two vertices are connected through a strait line.

What gimp functions do you recommend using for creating such an editable 
polygon? gimp_path?
