Update: I have been^w volunteered as organization admin.

I have started to update http://wiki.gimp.org/gimp/SummerOfCode
and moved the six 2006 projects into a new section. Some of the others
may have to be reevaluated, too.

After a quick glance into the FAQ at
http://code.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?topic=10442, there's not
much that has been changed. I'll read it more closely this weekend.
