I have moved src/menus/image-autocrop.xml to 
src/menus/image/autocrop.xml, so there is no corresponding src file any 
more, thus no pot file and no po file. (And I have to add a clean-up 
routine to remove these old xml files.)

Try 'make clean' or just remove xml/fr, then 'make xml-fr'. Then use the 
correct path with 
	make xml/fr/menus/image/autocrop.draft
