[Gimp-user] question

I have been busy with other projects and haven't really had a chance to sit down and play
with 2.4.1.  It's pretty impressive.  I do have one question.  Why can't one scale the
smudge tool?  I am guessing that smudging complicates things too much, but I am still curious.
