[Gimp-user] ? about shrinking pics on GIMP 2....

I have been having a heck of a time trying to shrink
my screenshots to smaller pics without making them
look very VERY fuzzy and unfocused.  What can a rather
unexperienced user of GIMP do to help avoid this when
attempting to resize pictures?
