[Gimp-user] Localize Gimp strings in English

Hello,

I am seeing inconsistency in Gimp with how its strings/messages are 
localized. Some buttons are in English, other buttons are in a language 
I don't recognize. For instance, the Gimp tip of the day has three 
buttons with these strings:

"Previous Tip" "Next Tip" "Sluit"

I don't know what "Sluit" means. :-(

I've looked in Gimp's preferences for a way to set English as the 
language for the interface, but I could find nothing there.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am using Gimp 2.4.6, standalone Mac build from 
http://darwingimp.sourceforge.net/, on Mac OS X 10.5.3/Intel.
