Hi Guys, I have a query....................I d/loaded the latest GIMP  2,4,7  today and now I find I cant do what I used to do in the older program.
The older program allowed me to duplicate objects in a picture by putting a square around it, or a circle, or indeed by using the free select tool and then hold Ctl and Alt and just drag the section to where I wanted it and leaving the original object where it was.
Now with this latest version I see I can only use the 'free select' then hold down 'shift and Alt'.

I was looking for the original version to down load but it's not that easy.

I may add that I am not a fundi but was managing ok until I d/loaded this new version. I wasn't even using the help program...................can anyone help...?
