[Gimp-user] Proofing design for fax quality

Hi,

I am trying to optimize a design for optimal faxability without going all the
way to b/w, since this document will only occacionally be faxed.

I was told with PS one can work with "Threshold adjustment layer" to get a
good impression.

How would I go about to get a similar result with Gimp?
