[Gimp-user] Run interactive crop tool inside a Python-Fu scritp?

Hello,

is it possible to run a Puthon-Fu scritp which perform the 
following:

1) Start the crop tool with fixed aspect ratio 16:9
2) Allow the user to resize the crop area
3) Apply some other automatic filtering

I get stuck in step 2, I cannot understand if it is feasible.
