As did Scizzo, I tried to approach it from the user's point of view. 
If I were a new user, how would I like to learn about how to use the 
GIMP? Well, there are users who like a clear manual, in which they 
can look things up, and there are others who swear by tutorials, that 
gets them to the nitty-gritty of editing an image real quick. Both 
are valid ways of learning, but both are ways of learning. 

Actually I thought of suggesting to rename the link text to 
'learning' or 'help', but those names may be confusing too, so I did 
not suggest them.

There's another thing and that is that I don't like menu clutter.

But in the end, I don't care that much about the issue. If Scizzo 
likes both types of documentation to have their own link each, that's 
fine with me too.
