Fair enough. As I said in a previous message, I trust your decisions.

You get my vote for this structure. As Branko mentioned in another
message, it would be better to write "Books" and "Links" instead of
"GIMP Books" and "GIMP Links". But the structure is fine.
The paths (URLs) can also stay as they are now. The only new thing
would be the "/source/" section.

It is a bit too big, but I can live with that. ;-) As I wrote in a
previous message, a good human interface guideline would be to have no
more than 6 items in each section of the menu. But this seems to be
difficult to do for the moment, so let's leave the menu as it is in
your last proposal and let's hope that most users will be happy with
it.

I am using the GIMP almost every day on Solaris. Unfortunately, I build
my own binaries from CVS or from the released tarballs, so I cannot
provide much information about how to download binaries. I think that
some versions are available from www.sunfreeware.com, but the most recent
version that I could find there is 1.2.1. Not very up-to-date...
I expect that the majority of the visitors will be looking for the Linux
version first, so we could launch the site as it is now and then improve
the documentation for other UNIX systems later.
