probably the list was made as a response to the huge "lack of
communication" scream that everyone hears every once in a while.  i have
not seen any mail on that list in a while.  i have some sitting unread
and unanswered.  problems with me probably caused the list.  the same
problems probably caused the uselessness of it. 

one thing we proved then is that if i explain my self and defend what i
am doing enough times, i can come up with alternate wording that will
hurt someone, make someone mad or disillusion large groups of gimp
enthusiasts.

anymore questions about that list?

about the web site.  things seem to be settling down some.  i was having
issues because the technical stuff was being handled by the content
people, the design was being handled by the technical people and the
poor tutorial staff was frustrated with a right to be.

as soon as it is on gnomecvs, you should be able to get the ChangeLog.
no matter what i say, that will pretty much be the truth.  truthfully,
Niklas and Helv have been very very busy since we sorted through who did
what.

i was writing an email that introduced the site to the mail list.  a
tour.  when i went to the contest site, X crashed.  when i tried to
share the contest works with #gimp people for comment and it got ebayed
pretty quick.

do you think the contest is the big hold up?
