[Gimp-web] python wizard wanted

The errors that <http://www.htmlhelp.com/cgi-
bin/validate.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmmmaybe.gimp.org%2F&warnings=yes&inp
ut=yes> produces are all to do with the news section.

Apparently, the validator doesn't like nested Ps, and <s and >s 
aren't escaped (which is why the W3C validator even refuses to try 
and validate the home page).

Could some Python wizard adapt the news script so that a news item 
gets wrapped in a DIV instead of a P, and so that greater-than, and  
less-than characters and ampersands and quotes get escaped (become 
resp. &gt;, &lt;, &amp; and &quot;)? Thanks.
