I agree.  I don't think that we should compete with the GUG,
especially if they are already doing a good job and they are
well-known for their extensive GIMP galleries.

Having a small gallery for a contest is fine, but I don't think that
we should go beyond that (IMHO).  At least, not before having
established some contact with those who manage the GUG site and
planned for some cooperation.
