welcome to one of the many GIMP online communities.

there are several people who have access to the web site and are (or
were recently at least) subscribed to this list.

the 'web team' as we decided to call it several years ago is in a period
of change, at least this is what i see with the limited information i
have.

i am not going to be participating in gimp web stuff. i am answering
this letter because i have spent so many years trying to run the web
site and trying to participate in running the web site. there are some
who might be confused by this seemingly sudden change in me.

i have seen how contributions work with a public project similar to
GIMP. i enjoyed a public sound project for years. one of the things
that i did not enjoy was watching one of their best people become fired
over a refusal to play music from some artist. the details are not
helpful to the story. for $250 dollars, they lost one of their best
assets.

my project is much smaller, but things seem to scale fairly equally in
these situations.

the upshot of all of this is that i think the very best thing for me to
do is to wait. i think that i need to know what the contributors
intended who allowed Karine Delvare to use the irc from where she works
to 'help' our project before i know what i should do.

i do not want to lose even $250 for the GIMP developers. time and money
are both very very valuable. right now, money is more valuable than my
time. i am not certain which is more valuable to the other people who
have the ability to make the changes you request on the gimp web site.

thanks for your contributions and enthusiasm,

carol
