[Gimp-web] next.gimp.org bad performance

this problem does not occur on windows because windows systems always utilize 2d/3d acceleration capabilities of the graphics card. linux systems do - by default - not. am i right that the linux system where you tested it was running an nvidia (not nv) or fglrx driver?
