A new site is great, but the current site is still much in need of an update and 
its contents are going to be the basis for the new site, so it's all relevant. 
I've been working on updating the site since before this discussion began, actually.

But now that you mention it, I think a top level menu for new features would be 
a good idea, since many people will be coming to the website specifically to 
find out what's new in 2.4. Maybe we should even put it on the front page itself.

The current documentation area is for links to external works, including the 
official Gimp Docs. Unless we plan on changing that in the new site, I don't 
think it's appropriate to put articles here. Also I think "About" is a more 
relevant section for "History". After all, looking at something's history is a 
pretty good way to find out about it. :)

Alternatively we could do away with "History" altogether, but personally I found 
it quite interesting.
