I couldn't think of a way to do that either, plus it's always better to
keep it simple than messing around with a bunch of redirects.
Perhaps a simple solution would be to just add a line right underneath
the heading "Source for version 2.6 (Stable)" that says:
"This is the source code for Gimp, if you are just looking to install
Gimp please visit one of these pages: Get Gimp for Unix, Get Gimp for
Windows, Get Gimp for Mac."
And the links should of course link to gimp.org/unix, gimp.org/windows
and gimp.org/macintosh
